4.1.3 Textbooks
General
- All textbook lists are to be initiated by the Department or program chairpersons. Lists will include the information necessary for the proper listing of textbooks and will indicate if the books are required or suggested.
- A total textbook list is available on the University Registrar web site.
- The textbook list is public knowledge and Illinois State may not enter into an exclusive contract for textbook sales with any one store.
Procedures for Implementing the Textbook Policy
- For each academic semester and summer session, the date the information is due to be entered into the computerized textbook ordering system will be provided by an Assistant University Registrar or an Associate University Registrar.
- The University Registrar will assure that the textbook list entered into the computerized system is on the web.
- Problems related to textbook lists should be directed to the Office of the University Registrar.
