7.1.37 Moving Expenses

Policy

Section V.E.1 of the Board of Trustees Regulations establishes broad limitations on the reimbursement of moving expenses. Within the framework of these broad guidelines, Illinois State University is permitted to and has established its own detailed definitions and procedures for payment of moving expenses.

Guidelines for Reimbursement of Moving Expenses

New, full-time faculty and new continuing administrative/professionals

These new employees may receive an allowance for moving consisting of one-half of their actual moving expenses or $2,000, whichever is less within the moving expenses guidelines. See the Moving Expense Form. For more information, contact the Provost Office at 438-2158.

Civil Service

The Board of Trustees Regulations state that reimbursement of moving expenses is available only to "selected Civil Service Employees as approved by the Board of Trustees or President."
