The University authorizes and designates an on-line operational policies and procedures manual for the University that uses a standard policy format and dissemination process.
The on-line Illinois State University Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines Manual is to include policies, procedures and guidelines that apply to the entire University. All policies require approval by the President prior to implementation and/or inclusion in the manual. Procedures and guidelines require approval by the President, or a Vice President as designated by the President, prior to implementation and/or inclusion in the manual.
The Illinois State University Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines Manual is subject to the Illinois State University Board of Trustees Governing Document and to applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
The on-line Illinois State University Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines Manual will have an effective date of January 1, 1999. All previous print versions of the Policies and Procedures Manual will be obsolete.
Proposed additions, deletions, or revisions to the Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines Manual must be submitted to the President’s Office for review. The standard document format is:

If the policy is approved by the President (for procedures and guidelines, the President or a Vice President as designated by the President can approve), it will be forwarded to the policy manual coordinator to be published on the Illinois State University Policy Web site. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining and updating the Web site and will cause it to be disseminated to university personnel through the University's home page on the World Wide Web.
